- Provide a simple, direct, supportable answer
- Use clear, plain and non-technical language
- Tell the truth. If the answer is unknown, state "I do not

- Follow the standard of care of generally accepted appraisal practice
- Give opinions based on the facts of the case
- Demonstrate mastery of the technical aspects of the appraisal process
